At Diaverum, our mission is to improve the quality of life for renal patients by revitalising them both physically and emotionally. Being one of the world’s leading renal care providers, Diaverum offers a holistic approach, from preventive and early stage renal care to all renal replacement therapies. As a product independent provider — the largest in Europe — we are able to focus solely on caring for the individual needs of our patients. Our experience in renal care dates back 20 years, when the first dialysis clinic was established, previously under our former name Gambro Healthcare. Today, 9,000 employees care for almost 31,200 patients in countries in Europe, Latin America, Middle East, Australia and Eastern Europe. Diaverum's corporate office is located in Lund, Sweden.
Diaverum Australia is currently ranked number two in the local market and is very proud of its achievements. A particular milestone for the Australian organization is the successful implementation of an innovative nocturnal dialysis program at the North Melbourne Dialysis Clinic in June 2011, which has grown from strength to strength. At the time, this was the only private nocturnal dialysis in-centre service in the country. This clinic won the first ever Private Hospital Excellence Award by the Victorian Department of Health on 20 November 2013. Other Australian clinics are expected to follow suit with nocturnal programs.
As at 16 November 2017, Diaverum has seven Diaverum clinics in operation in Australia across four states and the ACT, providing service to more than 340 patients. Every clinic is fully accredited with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards and is a Licensed Day Procedure Centre.
