Centro de Diálisis Diaverum Elche - Visit Elche
Elche, a town located about 27 km from the city of Alicante, is the second most populated town of the province and third of the Valencian community. It has a Mediterranean climate of mild winters and moderately hot summers, with temperatures between 10.5 degrees in January and 26 in July, although it is possible to reach 35 degrees on some of the warmest days of summer.
The nearest coastal area is Santa Pola, with an extension of 12 kilometers, of which 9 are beaches formed by dunes and pine forests in a characteristic Mediterranean landscape. In the northern area there are the extensive dunes of the Altet and Fondent de la Senieta beaches that extend to Arenales del Sol, a tourist center with a wide range of services. To the south of the term is El Pinet, La Marina and Les Pesqueres - El Rebollo, beaches of transparent waters and fine sand surrounded by pine forests, distinguished the three with Blue Flag.
The Palm Grove of Elche, together with the sacred representation of the Mystery of Elche, have been declared by Unesco, World Heritage and Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity respectively. Elche is the only place in the world where the handcrafting of the white palm persists.
