Diaverum AB as data controller is responsible for protecting your personal information, and our aim is that you will feel safe with the way we process your personal information. We process your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable legislation, the Swedish Data Protection Act (1998:204) and EU Directive 95/46/EC, as of May 25th 2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Your privacy is very important to us and we recognize your need for appropriate protection and management of any personal information you share with us. Therefore, we have developed this privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) which describes how we collect and use your personal information. The Privacy Policy applies only to information gathered by us from the Site and not from any other source; therefore, it does not necessarily reflect our practices with respect to information gathered through offline sources or through other sites owned and managed by Diaverum’s affiliates.

Personal Information

Most of Diaverum’s services, features and functions on the Site do not require any form of registration, allowing you to visit the Site without telling us who you are. However, in order to make some services, features and functions available to you, we may request certain personal information about you. Such personal information may include, but may not be limited to,

  • the name of your organization (if any),
  • your e-mail address,
  • your mailing address and
  • your telephone number.

For some services, you may also be requested to provide certain limited medical information. In general, all information directly or indirectly linked to a natural living person is personal information. This includes photos and sound recordings of individuals even though no names are mentioned. Encrypted data and various types of electronic identities, such as IP numbers, are considered personal information if they can be linked to natural person.

By accepting this Privacy Policy and submitting your personal information at such location, you acknowledge and agree to Diaverum’s collection and use of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Use of Personal Information

Before collecting personal information, we will identify the purposes for which the information is being collected. We will collect and use your personal information solely with the objective of fulfilling those purposes and we will inform you of such purposes when we ask you for your information. For example, we may collect and use personal information to provide you with products or services or to bill you for products or services which you request. The lawful basis to collect, store and use the personal information include:

No profiling or automated decision-making is performed using your personal information.

Disclosure to Third Parties

We will not sell, share or otherwise distribute your personal information to third parties except as provided in this Privacy Policy. We may transfer your personal information to Diaverum affiliates and other third parties with whom Diaverum has a contractual relationship in order to further process your information in accordance with the purpose(s) for which the information was originally collected, such as delivery of services, evaluation or technical support. Such transfer will only occur if the affiliate or third party has contracted with Diaverum that it will only use the personal information for the agreed upon purpose(s) and within the limits under which the information was originally collected.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required to do so by applicable law, court order or government regulation, or if such disclosure is otherwise necessary in support of any legal or criminal investigation.

Additionally, in the event of a reorganization, merger or sale, we may transfer your personal information to the relevant third party, provided that such party agrees to treat the personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We may obtain the services of outside parties to assist us in collecting and processing the information described in this section and all such third parties will be placed under the obligations described above.

Your Rights

  • You are entitled to know what personal information we are processing regarding you, and you can request a copy of such data.
  • You are entitled to have incorrect personal information regarding you corrected, and in some cases you may request that we delete your personal information (if, for example, the personal information is no longer necessary for the identified purpose).

  • You also have the right to object to certain processing of your personal information, and request that the processing of your personal information be limited. Please note that limitation or deletion of your personal information may result in us not being able to fulfil our obligations.

Security and Confidentiality

To ensure the security and confidentiality of your personal information, we use data networks which are protected by, for example, industry standard firewalls and password protection. We have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.

Transfer of Personal information abroad

Since Diaverum is a multinational corporation, we have databases in different jurisdictions and we may transfer your personal information to one of Diaverum’s databases outside your country of residence. Consequently, your personal information may be transferred to a database in a country outside of the European Economic Area (“EEA”). These countries may not have similar data protection laws to the EEA. If we transfer your personal information outside of the EEA in this way, we will take steps to ensure that your personal information is adequately protected through appropriate safeguards, standardized data protection agreements or reliance of an EU Adequacy decision. We may transfer personal data to a country outside the EU/EEA without an adequate standard of protection in the following circumstances: with your explicit and informed consent, fulfilling a Contract or Legal Claim.

This is a third party cookie, which transfers the information collected to Google. Google stores the information collected by this cookie on servers in the United States. Google may transfer this information to third-parties where required to do so by law, or where such third-parties process the information on Google's behalf.

Google Analytics

We use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about use of the Site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit the Site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to the Site. Diaverum uses the information we get from Google Analytics only to maintain and improve the Site’s technical performance. Google Analytics collects the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit the Site. Diaverum does not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with other personal information. How to prevent and/or delete cookies

Product information on the Site is provided by Diaverum and is intended for general information purposes only. Waiver and Severability

Any provisions, disclaimers and limitations of liability in these Terms of Use apply to the maximum extent permitted under applicable law.
