Simon has over 15 years of experience practicing law within private practice and the technology and healthcare sectors.
Since joining Diaverum in 2019, Simon has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s legal strategy across cross-border transactions, GDPR/data privacy laws, intellectual property, M&A, compliance, contract law and legal operations. Simon’s main focus is on building resilient legal operations that support innovation and patient-centric care.
Since August 2025 Simon assumed the role of General Counsel at Diaverum, responsible for directing and overseeing the company’s global legal affairs, providing counsel to support the organisation’s business objectives and ensuring compliance across all jurisdictions in which Diaverum operates. He plays a key role in supporting the organisation’s strategic initiatives, safeguarding its interests, and enabling sustainable growth through sound corporate governance.
Simon previously held the role of Vice President, Associate General Counsel & Head of Group Compliance, leading Diaverum’s global compliance efforts and supporting complex legal operations. Prior to joining Diaverum, he held senior legal roles within the health-tech sector (at Axis Communications AB) and private practice (at Mannheimer Swartling Law Firm).
Simon holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the Faculty of Law, Lund University in Sweden, and has studied business law at the University of Westminster in London, UK. Simon has also studied finance and economics at the School of Economics and Management, Lund University in Sweden.
