Diaverum Portugal recently welcomed patients to its new clinic in Amadora. It replaces the previous facilities in the area.

In a significant expansion of the previous spaces, it is comprised of 34 fully equipped dialysis stations, where 69 staff currently care for around 164 patients (full capacity goes until 264). Its services will focus on the provision of haemodialysis as well as the coordination and provision of multidisciplinary care, through specialist consultations, a nutrition team, pharmacy and social services. A number of amenities, such as Wi-Fi, individual TVs and light meals will be available to patients as they receive treatment.

The clinic is located in the heart of Amadora, a municipality found northwest of the Lisbon metropolitan area. It is one of the 27 clinics Diaverum currently operates in Portugal, making it one of our most significant geographies for growth worldwide.

Sofia Correia de Barros, Country Manager for Diaverum Portugal, commented: “I am delighted and proud  in equal measure to be welcoming our Amadora patients to these beautiful new facilities”.

“Our promise to them is that we will continue to provide life-enhancing renal care as we always have, supported by Diaverum’s world-class clinical and medical standards. My sincerest congratulations to everyone that worked to make this new space a reality for our patients”.
