At the heart of Diaverum’s Code of Ethics is our commitment to integrity, responsible business practices and our True care culture. Our purpose is to improve the lives of people with kidney disease, and every decision we make, every relationship we build and every patient we care for must reflect that purpose.

Our Code of Ethics guides how we care for our patients, support our colleagues, engage with healthcare systems and business partners, and fulfil our responsibilities to society. It reinforces our commitment to acting ethically, transparently and responsibly, building trust through our everyday actions and decisions.

What is the purpose of the Code of Ethics?

The Diaverum Code of Ethics applies to all Diaverum employees, its subsidiaries, and individuals working for or on behalf of the Diaverum Group, including members of the Board of Directors when acting in their capacity as directors.

Its purpose is to establish clear principles, standards and behaviours that guide our decisions and actions. It ensures that we not only comply with applicable laws and regulations but also uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity in everything we do.

The Supplier Code of Conduct (SCoC) sets out Diaverum’s expectations for responsible and ethical business practices among our contractors, partners, consultants and suppliers, ensuring that our commitment to integrity extends throughout our business relationships.

Our Code of Ethics covers five key areas:
1. Culture

Our culture is built on integrity, respect, fairness and accountability. We are committed to creating an inclusive and respectful working environment, where everyone is treated with dignity and encouraged to act ethically.

We promote a culture of openness through our SpeakUP! programme, enabling employees to raise concerns about potential misconduct without fear of retaliation.

Our commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles also guides us in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting our people and communities, and reducing our environmental impact.

2. Internal Business Conduct

We conduct our business with integrity, transparency and accountability, ensuring that our decisions reflect Diaverum’s values and ethical standards.

We are committed to strong corporate governance, responsible decision-making and accurate reporting. We actively identify, disclose and manage potential conflicts of interest, while maintaining zero tolerance for fraud, dishonesty and unethical business practices.

3. External Relationships

We build relationships with healthcare systems, government authorities, suppliers and other business partners based on trust, fairness and ethical conduct.

We maintain a strong commitment to preventing bribery and corruption, ensuring responsible interactions with government officials and selecting business partners who share our ethical standards.

We also ensure that patient referrals and retention are managed through fair, transparent and lawful practices, always prioritising patient needs and the integrity of our healthcare services.

4. Marketplace Conduct

We are committed to fair and responsible business practices across all markets in which we operate.

We comply with applicable international trade laws and regulations, respect intellectual property rights and promote fair competition.

We conduct our commercial activities with honesty and transparency, avoiding anti-competitive behaviour and ensuring that business information is obtained and used ethically.

5. Information

Protecting information and respecting privacy are fundamental to maintaining the trust of our patients, employees and business partners.

We are committed to safeguarding personal and confidential information, ensuring responsible data management and maintaining secure information technology systems.

We follow established standards for information management, communications and cybersecurity, ensuring that information is handled lawfully, securely and transparently.

Our Ethics & Compliance policies and supporting tools, including Daleel, provide additional guidance to help employees make informed, ethical and compliant decisions.
