The 2026 Diaverum Awards Finalists’ Ceremony took place in Sopot, Poland, on 29 September and was live-streamed to more than 14,800 employees worldwide. Held during Diaverum’s 35th anniversary year, the event was especially meaningful, celebrating both this important milestone and six outstanding winners selected from 20 finalists who brought our True care culture to life through their remarkable actions and meaningful impact over the past year.
Launched in 2022, the Diaverum Awards have become one of the most significant moments in our organisation’s calendar. Across five categories – Competence, Passion, Inspiration, For Life and True care – they celebrate outstanding examples of our True care culture in action and show how our values are lived every day.
This year, we also introduced an additional distinction: the Impact Award. Selected from among the 2026 Finalists across our five categories, the Impact Award recognises one nomination that demonstrates outstanding, measurable impact aligned with a strategic priority area for Diaverum. In 2026, that focus is Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) – reflecting our commitment to delivering sustainable value for patients, people and the planet. The recipient of this award was selected by our Executive Leadership Team.
After months of preparation, hundreds of nominations, and thoughtful deliberation by our volunteer judges, we’re thrilled to unveil our 2026 Diaverum Awards Winners. They are:
COMPETENCE
CBAHI accreditation team, Saudi Arabia
Diaverum Saudi Arabia developed a repeatable model to facilitate the national accreditation under the mandate of Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) across all 18 of its de novo clinics. CBAHI is the Kingdom’s most demanding healthcare quality framework. This initiative strengthens patient safety, supports continuous quality improvement, and positions Diaverum Saudi Arabia as a trusted partner to the health authorities, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 transformation agenda. Diaverum Saudi Arabia is the only renal care provider with all of its standalone clinics fully accredited by CBAHI.
PASSION
Makkah Clinics (Diaverum Makkah - Al Khadra and Diaverum Makkah - Al Awali), d.HOLIDAY programme, Saudi Arabia
The Makkah Clinic teams play a central role in positioning Saudi Arabia as one of d.HOLIDAY’s largest programmes globally. By going beyond what is required, mobilising colleagues across the network and continuously improving the patient experience, the team helps make safe, high-quality holiday dialysis possible at scale, embodying Passion in action.
INSPIRATION
Majed Almutairi, Pharmacist, Saudi Arabia
Majed identified an opportunity to strengthen pharmacy inventory management, championing a solution that grew from a single-clinic initiative into a standardised system across all 40 Diaverum clinics in Saudi Arabia. His proactive approach improved patient safety, reduced waste, enabled more reliable decision-making across the network and drove meaningful change.
FOR LIFE
Kyzylorda Clinic, Kazakhstan
The Diaverum Kyzylorda Medical team performed the region’s first continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) for a critically ill paediatric patient when transfer was not possible. Over 68 hours of uninterrupted, highly complex treatment, the team’s expertise, courage and collaboration helped save a life and exemplified True care beyond clinical protocols.
TRUE CARE
“Fruits for schools” initiative, Uruguay
Diaverum’s Lagomar and Maldonado clinics’ “Fruits for Schools” initiative connects nutrition, lifestyle and kidney health with education, sustainability and community engagement. By involving patients, staff, students, teachers and local communities in planting native fruit trees, it promotes healthy habits, environmental awareness and meaningful patient and staff participation beyond clinical care.
IMPACT
“Sustainability Strategy” initiative, Spain
Diaverum Spain integrated sustainability into its strategy and daily management across 53 clinics. Through cross-functional collaboration and clear performance follow-up, sustainability became part of how teams plan, make decisions and deliver care, supporting measurable environmental and social impact while maintaining operational efficiency and high-quality patient care.

And as we look towards the next 35 years of Diaverum, our responsibility is clear: to ensure that the care we provide today contributes to a healthier, more sustainable tomorrow".
