Diaverum Brazil has opened its new Brás Cubas clinic in Mogi das Cruzes, expanding access to high-quality kidney care for patients across the region. The new facility strengthens local dialysis capacity and will help more people receive life-sustaining treatment closer to home.
The new clinic began treating patients on 8 June and represents Diaverum's second facility in Mogi das Cruzes, an important healthcare hub in the state of São Paulo. With capacity to treat up to 300 patients across three daily shifts, the clinic combines modern infrastructure, advanced medical technology and a highly qualified multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

Diaverum supports patients across both Brazil's public healthcare system, the Unified Health System (Sistema Único de Saúde - SUS), and the private healthcare sector. The opening of the Brás Cubas clinic strengthens that role by creating additional capacity across the local care network. While the new facility serves privately insured patients, it will enable 102 additional treatment slots to become available at Diaverum's Gaspar Conqueiro clinic for patients treated through SUS, helping improve access to life-sustaining dialysis care and reducing pressure on waiting lists in the municipality.
The opening marks another important milestone in Diaverum's continued growth in Brazil and reflects the company's long-term commitment to expanding access to world-class, life-enhancing renal care. Through continued investment in healthcare infrastructure, clinical excellence and local partnerships, Diaverum is helping more patients receive the care they need while supporting the development of stronger healthcare services across the country.
José María Ordóñez Martí-Aguilar, Vice President LATAM, said: "The opening of the Brás Cubas clinic reflects Diaverum's continued commitment to expanding access to high-quality kidney care across Latin America. By investing in capacity, clinical expertise and strong partnerships with local healthcare systems, we are enabling more patients to access life-sustaining treatment while supporting the long-term development of healthcare services in the communities we serve."
Luciano Bonaldo, Country Manager Brazil, added: "Our commitment to Mogi das Cruzes is long-term and rooted in the needs of the community. By expanding treatment capacity and creating additional availability within the public healthcare system, we are helping more patients access high-quality care closer to home. At the same time, we are strengthening the region's healthcare infrastructure to meet future needs and support better outcomes for patients and families."
Dr Paulo Cicogna, Country Medical Director Brazil, said: "The opening of the Brás Cubas clinic is an important step in strengthening access to high-quality kidney care in the region. By combining modern facilities, advanced technology and experienced multidisciplinary teams, we are creating an environment that supports safe, effective and patient-centred treatment. Most importantly, this investment will help more patients access the care they need closer to home while supporting better outcomes and quality of life for people living with chronic kidney disease."
The opening of the Brás Cubas clinic further expands Diaverum's presence in Brazil. Today, Diaverum Brazil operates 18 facilities, including three vascular access centres, caring for more than 6,900 patients with the support of approximately 1,500 healthcare professionals. Through continued investment in capacity, clinical excellence and local partnerships, the organisation is helping to improve access to high-quality kidney care for communities across the country.
