We are delighted to announce that Diaverum Romania has been accredited by the National Authority of Quality Management in Health (ANMCS), Romania’s central authority responsible for healthcare quality and patient safety standards.
As the sole national body for accreditation, ANMCS ensures that healthcare providers consistently meet rigorous benchmarks aligned with both national priorities and international best practices. This recognition underscores Diaverum’s commitment to delivering care that goes beyond regulatory compliance – prioritising safety, trust, and better outcomes for every patient served.
The national accreditation process was initiated in 2024, with all 26 of Diaverum Romania’s nephrology and dialysis centres undergoing a rigorous evaluation. In August 2025, the results were announced: Diaverum Romania achieved a compliance level of 99.17% – the highest in the country in the field of dialysis and kidney care. This outstanding result reflects the organisation’s focus on delivering world-class renal care through the standardised, proprietary care delivery model, guided by the True care culture.
This recognition is testament to Diaverum’s pivotal role in addressing the growing challenge of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in Romania. Affecting approximately one in ten Romanians, CKD remains severely underdiagnosed, making it essential that patients can access treatment that is verified, accredited, and held to the highest of care.
Commenting on the accreditation, Viorel Simion, Country Manager of Diaverum Romania, said: “Our recent success is a testament not only to the quality of our services, but also to the unwavering dedication of our entire team over the past several years. Through our network of accredited centres, we proudly care for more than 4,300 patients – a quarter of the national total – bringing our True Care culture to life every day. For us, accreditation is a foundation for continuous improvement. This achievement reflects the professionalism, passion, and commitment to safety and quality that our employees demonstrate in their daily work. I extend my deepest gratitude and congratulations to all our teams, whose extraordinary efforts have positioned Diaverum Romania as one of the country's leading healthcare networks, delivering care that patients can trust."
Dr Marta Gemene, Medical Director of Diaverum Romania, added: “Reaching this milestone is the result of years of preparation, rigorous process reviews, and a constant focus on aligning with both national and international health quality standards. This accreditation is a clear recognition of the diligence and hard work our teams demonstrate every day, and it reinforces our role in setting the benchmark for excellence in patient care.”
Rafael Romanini, CEO of Diaverum, also commented on the achievement, saying: “This is a proud moment for Diaverum and a true reflection of the dedication of our teams and the quality of care delivered across our global network. Achieving the highest compliance level in the country for dialysis and kidney care is more than a recognition of excellence, it is a testament to our commitment to providing patients with the safest, most advanced standards of treatment. This accreditation from ANMCS reinforces our role as a trusted healthcare partner and motivates us to continue raising the standard of renal care in Romania.”
