Diaverum has completed the acquisition of two new clinics located in the Valparaíso region in central Chile. This expansion reinforces the organisation’s strong growth trajectory and provides access to high-quality renal care in one of the country’s most populous regions, home to key ports, cultural hubs, and legislative functions.
Through the acquisition of these clinics, Diaverum will expand its presence further in the Valparaíso region across two urban centres – Limache and Quillota. Together, these cities have a combined population of approximately 127,900 inhabitants. Diaverum will provide outpatient haemodialysis services to more than 180 chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients in the area.
Currently led by a highly respected nurse renowned for delivering exceptional renal care, these clinics perform around 20,000 haemodialysis treatments annually. Built on a strong foundation of success and recognised for their high standards, they are ideally positioned to integrate seamlessly into Diaverum’s global network.
Patients in the Valparaíso region will benefit from Diaverum’s advanced therapies, digital services, and proprietary Care Delivery Model, ensuring standardised, patient-centred treatment with real-time clinical oversight across its network.
Vivian Ayca, Medical Director of Diaverum Chile, said: “Expanding access to high-quality renal care in Chile is something we are passionate about. As we integrate these new clinics into our network, we will implement Diaverum’s standardised medical protocols, clinical governance and continuous training programmes, enabling our team of medical experts to support patients with continuity of high-quality renal care.”
Pablo Iñones, Country Manager of Diaverum Chile, affirmed: “The addition of these two clinics in the Valparaíso region further strengthens our presence in Chile. Fully aligned with Diaverum’s values and True care culture, we continue to grow through the acquisition of reputable clinics with a proven commitment to quality care.”
Rafael Romanini, CEO of Diaverum, concluded: “Leveraging Diaverum’s unique care model and patient-centric digital innovations, we will help more patients in the region live healthier, more fulfilling lives. Looking ahead, we proudly remain committed to expanding equitable access to life-enhancing renal care nationwide, driving innovation, and setting new standards in patient care.”
This follows another recent acquisition in the Valparaíso region, increasing Diaverum’s reach in Chile to a total of 24 clinics, treating more than 2,500 patients through a dedicated team of more than 480 healthcare professionals. This milestone reflects the company’s continued growth and commitment to the continuous improvement of care for people living with CKD.
CKD affects approximately 15.4% of Chilean adults aged 40 and over. The growing burden is driven by diabetes, hypertension, and obesity, making early detection and preventative strategies essential. As demand grows, Chile’s public healthcare system partners with leading providers like Diaverum through long-term collaborations, ensuring equitable access to high-quality renal care while driving sustainability and innovation.
