Dimitris Moulavasilis
PRESIDENT & CEO,
DIAVERUM
Since he joined in October 2018, Dimitris has been at the helm of Diaverum’s ambitious vision of transforming the industry, by offering life-enhancing renal care and empowering patients to live fulfilling lives. He has been instrumental in guiding Diaverum on its digital journey to become a pioneer in integrated, AI-enabled, personalised dialysis care.
An established leader with over 30 years’ experience in the international healthcare services and medical technology sectors, Dimitris studied Biomedical Engineering at the Athens University of Applied Sciences. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Leicester.
José María Ordoñez
COUNTRY MANAGER,
DIAVERUM SPAIN
José María is responsible for leading our operations in Spain, a position he has held since 2019. He has been with organisation for over 26 years, having started out with Gambro Healthcare in 1997.
José María holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Málaga.
Colin White
PRESIDENT, EUROPEAN TRANSPLAND & DIALYSIS SPORT FEDERATION
Colin is the President of the European Transplant & Dialysis Sports Federation. In this role he encourages people on dialysis from across Europe to consider engaging in sports and physical activity through gathering together for the Federation’s biennial Sports Championships. He is also involved with the European Kidney Patients Federation (EKPF) and the European Society for Organ Transplantation. Separately, he is employed by the Irish Kidney Association as the National Advocacy & Projects Manager. Colin’s wife, Chikoyo, has been on dialysis since 2001, so he also brings the ‘lived experience’ and positive impact of dialysis away from base, not only for the patient, but also for their family and friends.
Dr Domingos Machado
DIAVERUM TRANSPLANTATION AMBASSADOR
Dr Domingos Machado is a long-time colleague whose involvement with Diaverum spans across more than two decades.
In recent years, Domingos has been responsible for organising Diaverum Portugal's continuous education programme for doctors and nurses & is also President of Diaverum's Portuguese Ethics Committee.
He is an Honorary Member of the Portuguese Transplantation Society (Sociedade Portuguesa Transplantação - SPT), as well as an Honorary Member of the Portuguese Society of Nephrology (Sociedade Portuguese Nefrologia).
In 2022, Domingos performed an extraordinary act of altruism by becoming the first non-directed kidney donor to an unknown CKD patient in Portugal.
Michaela Blomstrand
GLOBAL DIRECTOR PATIENT EXPERIENCE & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT,
DIAVERUM
Michaela is our Global Director of Patient Experience & Stakeholder Management. She has been with Diaverum for more than 10 years, having started out as a dialysis nurse in our Malmö Clinic.
Today, Michaela heads up the global d.HOLIDAY programme at Diaverum, and has been instrumental in its successful growth. She is a certified dialysis nurse and holds a degree in Nursing from the University of Malmö.
Elenor Mårtensson
GLOBAL CUSTOMER MANAGER,
DIAVERUM
Elenor joined Diaverum in September 2021 as our Global Customer Manager.
She is responsible for managing the global d.HOLIDAY programme, enabling and support its ambitious growth plan across the company. Outside of d.HOLIDAY, she supports across various areas connected to Patient Experience & Community Affairs.
Elenor has extensive experience from customer-focused service roles in the tourism sector. She has a degree in Service Management from the University of Lund and further certifications in Business Administratior from Xiamen University, China.

Málaga Dialysis Clinic opened in 2013 and offers 30 dialysis stations.
